In 2004 I was ready to add a puppy to my quiet "empty nest".   As I was researching breeds and interviewing breeders, one told me about a "rare new breed called the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka"   At that time there were only 5 breeders actively breeding (4 have since stopped breeding bolonka).  There was only one litter of puppies available in the United States.  I purchased my first bolonka and was instantly smitten.   

I loved everything about this charming toy breed.

I joined the fledgling national breed club "NATBC" eager to help develop the bolonka breed in the USA.   Our breeding choices were limited and importing was necessary for genetic diversity.   I made contacts with breeders in several countries and researched pedigrees to select bolonka that would enhance my breeding program mission and honor the Russian breed standard.   I am fortunate to have imported spectacular bolonka from original top Russian lines as the foundation of our Bolonka Treasures.

I am thankful to breeders both in the United States and abroad who graciously shared their dogs and/or breed knowledge.

A Bolonka Treasure is the definition of charming colored lapdog.   We are pleased to have Treasures living in homes across the continental United States, Hawaii,  Canada, St. Barths Island, and in Europe.   Many Treasures are therapy dogs, emotional support pets, and company mascots.

Over the years many of our dogs have won top show awards and earned international championships.   Once accepted by AKC/UKC, we will add those championships to our resume as well.
